Position Overview
We are recruiting a full-time Registered Nurse to join Ellerslie Gardens Lifecare, an 87-bed facility located in Mount Wellington, Auckland. This permanent role requires a commitment of 32 hours or more per week, covering AM, PM, night, and weekend shifts. The successful candidate will significantly enhance the quality of life of our residents by providing empathetic and excellent nursing care in a congenial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Caregivers to ensure superior quality care delivery.
- Create and regularly update individualized care plans.
- Conduct clinical assessments to monitor resident health status.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, their families, and general practitioners.
- Support Clinical Services and Care Home Managers in operational and clinical duties.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience as a Registered Nurse, either domestically within New Zealand or internationally.
- Possess a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- A genuine passion for caregiving combined with a positive, friendly demeanor.
- Strong team orientation with empathy and a commitment to improving residents’ lives.
- Understanding and commitment to health and safety protocols and continuous professional development.
