About the Role

Join the nursing team at Woodlands in Motueka, where your clinical skills and compassionate care directly impact residents' lives. At Woodlands, nurses deliver personalized care by truly knowing the residents and their families, supported by autonomy and clinical judgment.

Woodlands provides Rest Home and Hospital-level care, including Care Suites, respite, and palliative support, set near Motueka town centre with beautiful access to the Tasman region's beaches and landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive clinical care for residents through assessments, care planning, and responsive support.
  • Apply clinical judgment autonomously to ensure safe and quality outcomes for residents.
  • Establish meaningful connections with residents and their whānau, understanding their personal needs beyond clinical aspects.
  • Collaborate effectively with nurses, care teams, and health professionals to optimize resident wellbeing.
  • Provide mentorship and clinical leadership to care staff, fostering their skills and confidence.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in resident care and contribute constructive solutions.

What We Expect From You

  • Hold a current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate.
  • Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and decision-making capabilities.
  • Communicate confidently and empathetically with residents, families, whānau, and healthcare professionals.
  • Possess the ability to coach and support team members effectively.
  • Exhibit good organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with clinical systems preferred; knowledge of InterRAI is an advantage but not required.
  • Availability and flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and nights.
