Danat Al Emarat Hospital, located in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, is a premier specialty hospital focusing on women and children's health. It is equipped with advanced departments such as Neonatology, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Women’s Health, and features one of the UAE's few dedicated Fetal Medicine Departments alongside a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This makes it a leading center for managing high-risk pregnancies and providing critical care to newborns.

We invite compassionate and experienced Registered Midwives to join our maternity services team. This role involves providing outstanding antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care using evidence-based, woman-centered midwifery practices within a collaborative and multidisciplinary setting that prioritizes safety, quality, and empathy.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive antenatal services including evaluation, ongoing monitoring, education, and support tailored to pregnant women.
• Track maternal and fetal health throughout pregnancy, identifying any complications early.
• Conduct detailed health assessments and gather medical histories to create personalized care plans.
• Provide education on pregnancy, childbirth, nutrition, breastfeeding, and newborn care to expectant mothers and their families.
• Support and oversee normal labor and delivery processes, ensuring comfort and safety for mother and infant.
• Continuously monitor labor progress, fetal heart rates, and maternal vital signs during childbirth.
• Recognize obstetric emergencies promptly and initiate suitable responses.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in alignment with scope of practice.
• Offer pain relief strategies and support throughout labor and delivery phases.
• Provide immediate postpartum care for mothers following childbirth.
• Evaluate and monitor newborns’ health indicators and adaptation to life outside the womb.
• Promote and assist with breastfeeding, including lactation education and practical support.
• Deliver postnatal care and emotional guidance to mothers and families.
• Maintain meticulous records of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with obstetricians, pediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure integrated care delivery.
• Adhere to strict infection control protocols at all times.
• Champion the rights, preferences, and cultural considerations of women and their families.
• Engage in initiatives focused on patient safety, quality enhancement, and clinical governance.
• Provide counseling on family planning and reproductive health.
• Commit to ongoing professional development and ensure compliance with licensing and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Midwifery or Nursing with Midwifery qualification.
• Possession of a valid DOH/DHA license and a current professional license from the candidate's home country.
