Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time Regional Safety Program Manager based in Clonee, County Meath, Ireland (onsite, local candidates only). The position involves leading the development, implementation, and enhancement of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs across multiple client sites, particularly critical environments like data centres and other high-risk technical facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain comprehensive EHS management systems and safety programs throughout assigned sites and regions.
- Lead creation and execution of annual safety goals, strategies, and KPIs aligned with zero-harm commitments.
- Use leading and lagging indicators to monitor safety trends and improve program outcomes.
- Collaborate with operational and business leaders to embed EHS considerations in business decisions.
- Oversee risk assessments, hazard identification, and implementation of mitigation controls including RAMS and JHAs.
- Maintain permit-to-work compliance including systems like lockout/tagout and energy isolation procedures.
- Keep current with regulatory changes and ensure adherence to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other applicable standards.
- Promote incident reporting culture, lead investigations and root cause analyses, and manage corrective actions.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and compliance reviews; prepare safety dashboards and reports.
- Design and deliver safety training on electrical safety, working at height, confined spaces, manual handling, emergency response, and contractor safety.
- Lead behavioral safety initiatives, safety committees, toolbox talks, and mentor safety coordinators.
- Act as regional EHS expert liaising with clients, contractors, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
- Support business continuity and emergency preparedness initiatives and represent the organization at various safety forums.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Risk Management, or related discipline.
- Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, EurOSHM or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum five years' senior EHS management experience, especially in multisite environments.
- Deep knowledge of Irish and EU health and safety laws and regulations.
- Proven ability in leading incident investigations, audits, risk assessments, and compliance programs.
Preferred Experience
- Background in data centre, critical facility, construction, engineering, logistics, or manufacturing safety management.
- Familiarity with high-risk safety topics including electrical safety (high/low voltage), working at height, confined spaces, and lifting operations.
- Experience managing regional teams and influencing diverse stakeholders.
