Regional Programme Director - Payroll & HR Technology

Company Overview

Our client is an expanding global workforce solutions provider enabling organizations to manage employee administration, payroll operations, and employment compliance across various international regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of regional client implementation projects, from gathering requirements and configuring solutions to testing, launching, and transitioning to operations.
• Simultaneously manage multiple multi-country projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and meet quality standards.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate project managers and implementation consultants operating across different countries.
• Serve as the senior escalation contact for both clients and internal teams, fostering strong relationships with HR, Finance, IT leaders, and project sponsors.
• Work collaboratively with Sales, Pre-Sales, Product, Engineering, and Service Delivery departments to guarantee smooth implementations and seamless onboarding experiences.
• Implement project governance and portfolio reporting, plan resources, identify and manage risks, and continuously improve project management methodologies and delivery frameworks.
• Support complex sales by planning implementations, estimating efforts, and delivering presentations to clients.
• Progressively take full responsibility for the regional project function, including overseeing the project portfolio, maintaining key client relationships, and leading the team.

Candidate Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Human Resources, or related fields; PMP, PRINCE2, or comparable certification is beneficial.
• At least 10 years of experience in project delivery or implementations, including a minimum of 5 years managing regional or multiple country projects and teams.
• Proven success delivering complex Asia Pacific implementations in HRMS, HCM, payroll, ERP, EOR, or SaaS enterprise platforms.
• Experience managing scopes, budgets, governance, resource distribution, risk mitigation, and stakeholder expectations efficiently.
• Good knowledge of payroll operations, HR workflows, and compliance across multiple countries, ideally within Asia Pacific.
• Demonstrated past leadership handling managers, remote teams, and diverse stakeholders living across varied countries and time zones.
• Strong skills in engaging senior executives and C-suite stakeholders from client organizations.
• Commercially focused mindset balancing excellent delivery standards, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
• Proficient English communication skills; additional Asian language knowledge is a plus.
• Availability for regional travel as needed.
