Recreation Experience Specialist

Overview

Join St. Regis Hotels & Resorts as a Recreation Experience Specialist, serving as a vital resource for all recreational activities offered on the property. Based in Dubai at Palm Jumeirah, you will provide guests with information regarding recreational amenities such as the pool, beach, entertainment rooms, gym, and children's activity center. Your role is to encourage guest participation, organize activities, and ensure a fun and relaxing atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Motivate and register guests for recreational activities.
• Promote and enforce rules to maintain safety and well-being in recreation areas.
• Monitor activities and respond appropriately to emergencies following operational procedures.
• Operate cashier services at points of sale within recreational facilities.
• Support private group events and functions held in recreational areas.
• Identify and report unsafe situations, providing assistance to injured guests until emergency medical personnel arrive.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of recreational facilities, equipment, and supplies.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management.
• Complete safety training and certifications as required.
• Adhere to company policies, maintain professional appearance and confidentiality.
• Provide exceptional guest service following company standards, including assisting guests with disabilities and communicating clearly and professionally.
• Collaborate positively with team members to meet shared objectives.
• Process payments for equipment rentals, recreational activities, and retail sales.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and materials regularly to identify defects.
• Engage in physical activities including standing, walking, lifting objects up to 11 kg independently, or heavier with assistance, and maneuvering over varied surfaces.
• Perform other reasonable job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
• No prior related work or supervisory experience required.
• Mandatory certifications: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid.
• Training in recreational equipment and physical fitness management.
• Compliance with all local and state certification requirements.

This position is a non-management full-time role, located on-site at Palm Jumeirah, Dubai. It requires standing or walking for long periods and the ability to lift, carry, and manipulate various weighted objects safely.
