About the Role
Step into a transformative role in Records Management with Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu. Based in Ōtautahi (Christchurch), this permanent full-time position focuses on enhancing information systems to protect valuable taonga now and for future generations. You will primarily support the Records Manager by ensuring valuable archives are properly transferred to Ngāi Tahu Archive, working across multiple teams and directly with iwi. Additionally, you may assist with records management guidance and compliance activities throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the transfer of archival materials to the Ngāi Tahu Archive.
- Collaborate with various teams and tribal stakeholders to manage records effectively.
- Provide support for records management compliance and advisory tasks as required.
Candidate Profile
- Over 5 years’ proven experience in information and records management, encompassing program development and execution.
- Comprehensive knowledge of legislation and standards governing records retention, archival methods, and data privacy.
- Skilled in utilizing records management technologies, especially Microsoft 365 (M365).
- Holds a relevant postgraduate qualification in Information Management or a related discipline.
- Demonstrates cultural competency with enthusiasm for embracing te reo Māori and tikanga.
- A collaborative approach, confidence, and practical outlook.
