Job Overview
As a Receptionist at DoubleTree by Hilton Sharjah Waterfront Hotel & Residences, you will play a key role in creating pleasant and memorable experiences for guests through a welcoming and efficient front desk service.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome arriving guests and facilitate the check-in process including identity verification, room allocation, key distribution, and assisting with bell services.
- Efficiently manage the check-out procedure by confirming billing details, processing payments, issuing receipts, and accurately operating the point-of-sale system.
- Provide detailed information about hotel accommodations, rates, promotions, and local attractions to assist guest inquiries effectively.
- Encourage and promote hotel offerings and amenities to enhance guest experience and drive additional revenue.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and concerns, handling communications and messages with care and urgency.
Qualifications and Attributes
- Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional qualifications in Business Administration, Hospitality, or Office Management are advantageous.
- Previous hotel industry experience in a similar receptionist role is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with a professional and courteous attitude.
- Strong customer service aptitude and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook, in addition to general office administrative capabilities.
- Organizational skills that allow managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to maintain precise records, handle confidential information, and manage schedules.
- Professional appearance, punctuality, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
