Role Overview
The Receptionist serves as the initial contact point for patients and visitors, responsible for managing front desk operations with professionalism both in person and over the phone. Daily duties encompass welcoming and directing patients, answering and routing calls, scheduling and confirming appointments, and keeping the reception area orderly. Additional responsibilities include handling patient queries, collaborating with medical and administrative teams, processing clerical tasks, and ensuring accurate patient data entry within relevant systems. This role requires full-time, on-site attendance at Al Waab Medical Center in Doha with strict adherence to punctuality and clinic procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
- Exceptional customer service and communication abilities to effectively engage with patients, visitors, and team members.
- Experience in receptionist duties, including greeting and guiding patients at the front desk.
- Competency in phone handling with professional multi-line phone system management skills.
- Proficient clerical capabilities such as appointment management, record maintenance, and data entry.
- Ability to maintain composure and organizational skills in a busy healthcare environment, emphasizing precision and thoroughness.
- Prior experience within healthcare or clinical settings is advantageous.
- Basic computer skills with familiarity in office software; knowledge of medical practice management systems is a plus.
- Fluent in English; Arabic language skills considered beneficial.
- Educational requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent; further training in administration or healthcare support is preferred.
Experience Requirements
- At least 3 years working experience in medical or healthcare environments, preferably in front desk or receptionist positions.
- Proven capability in handling patient interactions with professionalism and empathy.
- Demonstrated efficiency in performing administrative responsibilities in a clinical context.
