Position Overview
This exceptional opportunity is for a Real Estate Partner based in Melbourne amid robust market conditions fueled by sustained institutional and offshore capital investments in commercial, industrial, and built-to-rent assets. Role Details
The role involves handling a blend of responsibilities depending on the candidate's area of expertise, including:
- Commercial property transactions such as acquisitions, disposals, and deal structuring for institutional, private, and corporate clients;
- Advising on development matters including project structuring, joint ventures, development agreements, and phased deliverables;
- Leasing-related activities.
The position involves leadership duties, including mentoring junior lawyers and contributing actively to partnership governance.
Candidate Profile
- Between 10 and 25 years of post-admission experience with a significant focus on real estate law;
- Strong technical expertise in commercial property transactions, development advisory, or planning; experience with funds and institutional investment is an asset;
- Possession of a portable client book exceeding AUD 1.2 million;
- Established connections with developers, investors, institutions, government entities, or corporate occupiers;
- Proven success in business development and the aptitude to expand practice at a new firm;
- Experience at a top-tier, reputable mid-tier, or specialized real estate law firm;
- Commercial acumen and interpersonal skills to flourish within a collaborative partnership culture.
