Role Overview
The R&D Chemist will support research and development service requests by preparing polymer samples, conducting tests, collecting data, and reporting results. This role involves working closely with lab equipment and following standardized processes to enhance product development and ensure quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare polymer samples, conduct tests, and accurately record data
- Set up and operate laboratory instruments, ensuring proper maintenance
- Perform thermal, electrical, mechanical, and chemical analyses on polymer products
- Adhere to SOPs, ISO procedures, and maintain precise documentation
- Log observations, process conditions, and test outcomes meticulously
- Manage laboratory inventory, including packaging, labeling, and arranging material shipments
- Assist in failure analysis, product development, and optimize manufacturing processes
- Follow Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards and 5S organization practices; proactively suggest improvements
Candidate Profile
- Diploma, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Polymer Science, Materials Science, or Chemistry
- Up to 2 years of laboratory experience, including internships
- Fundamental understanding of polymer testing techniques and laboratory protocols
- Attention to detail with strong accuracy in data handling
- Basic analytical and problem-solving competencies
- Effective teamwork and communication abilities
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
Compensation and Benefits
The position offers a competitive salary along with a performance-based bonus scheme.
