Overview
Our client in Sharjah's personal care cosmetics sector is recruiting an R&D Assistant Manager to contribute to research and development efforts. The position entails cosmetic formulation, product development, analytical evaluation, regulatory adherence, project oversight, and cost management. Close collaboration with internal teams is essential to ensure high-quality cosmetic product advancement and continuous enhancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and enhancing personal care product formulas for new and existing items.
- Create and assess cosmetic formulations ensuring alignment with product specifications, ingredient roles, quality standards, and regulatory norms.
- Organize and perform analytical tests to assess product quality, stability, performance, and suitability of formulations.
- Investigate and analyze ingredients, raw materials, and alternatives for formulation improvement and innovation.
- Manage R&D projects encompassing formulation, testing, and product deployment phases.
- Guarantee product formulations and R&D practices comply with regulatory guidelines and internal quality benchmarks.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams to address development, testing, documentation, and project directives.
- Support effective project scheduling, budget control, and ensure on-time R&D deliverables.
- Identify formulation and product development challenges and propose viable solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive R&D documentation including formulations, test outcomes, and technical records.
- Foster teamwork and cross-departmental cooperation to align with research and business goals.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in research and development within the personal care or cosmetics industry.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry.
- Extensive expertise in cosmetic formulation, ingredient science, analytical testing methodologies, and regulatory compliance.
- Skills in project management and controlling costs effectively.
- Proven communication, problem-solving, and collaborative abilities.
- Preference for candidates available to join immediately.
