RCA / Reliability Specialist

Job Overview and Requirements

This role demands a reliability engineering expert with extensive experience investigating incidents and maintaining asset integrity in heavy industry environments. Candidates must have more than eight years of professional history in these areas and be adept at facilitating formal Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) using various recognized methodologies such as 5-Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa diagrams, logic tree, PROACT, TapRooT, or Apollo. Expertise in developing taxonomies, knowledge management systems, or lessons-learned repositories is essential. Excellent facilitation skills for workshops and strong stakeholder engagement capabilities are also crucial.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement RCA process workflows, investigation templates, and phased stages within a digital platform.
• Create and organize cause taxonomies aligned with established industry causal-factor frameworks, including IOGP, and integrate these with client-specific cause directories and barrier-failure registers.
• Lead interactive workshops involving client subject-matter experts to construct tailored Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) incident categorization tables.
• Maintain and curate the historical RCA knowledge base, ensuring the accuracy of AI-generated causal logic and proposed corrective actions.
• Assist in the formulation of training materials and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) for investigation teams.
