Key Responsibilities

• Guide aircraft safely during arrivals and departures.
• Load and unload passenger baggage and air cargo, including bulk items and containerized pallets, onto respective carts or dollies.
• Handle and transport wheelchairs and child strollers to designated areas.
• Provide special handling for luggage and cargo as directed.
• Transfer passenger luggage to claim zones and assist unloading onto conveyor belts.
• Deliver air cargo efficiently to the proper recipients.
• Operate ground support machinery such as tow tractors, belt loaders, baggage tugs, water and lavatory service trucks, aircraft power units, air start units, air stairs, de-icing equipment, carts, dollies, and passenger vans.
• Load and collect mail, live animals, wheelchairs, and strollers onto aircraft.
• Conduct servicing of aircraft lavatories and water systems.
• Inspect and clear ramp areas near gates and aircraft of debris to maintain safety.
• Communicate all equipment malfunctions to supervisors or managers promptly.
• Adhere strictly to federal, state, municipal, airport authority, and airline security protocols.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Previous ramp operations experience advantageous but not mandatory.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Completion of High School Diploma or GED.
• Capability to work outdoors regardless of weather conditions.
• Willingness to work varied shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Strong awareness of health and safety standards.
• Physical ability to lift heavy items up to 70 pounds (32 kilograms).
• Candidates employed by Hallmark Aviation Services are not eligible for this position.

The position offers a competitive wage rate of $18 per hour.
