The Northern Private Hospital's Lumus Imaging department, newly opened in February 2024, features advanced technology and an environmentally sustainable clean work environment. It offers a broad spectrum of diagnostic and interventional procedures such as General X-ray, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, MRI, CT, Mobile services, Theatre, Cath Lab, Vascular, and interventional treatments. The department primarily supports outpatient appointments, with inpatient services expected to grow as the hospital expands.

Role Overview

This full-time permanent role invites qualified CT and X-ray radiographers who aspire to become certified MRI radiographers. Under the mentorship of an experienced MRI supervisor, candidates will undergo an extensive training program designed to develop autonomous MRI scanning skills within six months. The position involves rotational shifts among multiple modalities, including general X-ray, CT, theatre, Cath Lab, and vascular procedures, with training support provided to gain competency in all areas.

Work locations rotate between hospital, community, and medical centers in the nearby area, ensuring diverse clinical experience. Qualified MRI technicians will have operating hours from 7am to 9pm and participate in scheduled on-call rotations at the hospital site. Role Requirements

• Experience in clinical CT and general X-ray duties with solid cross-sectional anatomical knowledge
• Strong motivation to complete MRI training and achieve Level 1 AIR MRI accreditation
• Dedication to maintaining high imaging quality and patient care standards
• Excellent interpersonal and communication capabilities
• Willingness to work shifts and participate in on-call rotations
• Team-oriented mindset with cooperation and supportiveness
• University or equivalent qualification in Medical Imaging Technology
• Current registration with AHPRA and valid Victorian radiation license
• Driver's license
