Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

Join WSP’s Middle East team as a Quantity Surveyor within the Building Supervision division based in Dubai. This role involves aiding in the commercial management of projects by contributing to cost control, contract administration, valuations, and generating comprehensive reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Quantify and assess construction activities to facilitate payment certifications.
• Evaluate contractor payment requests for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist in assessing variations and contractual claim submissions.
• Compile detailed cost reports and commercial summaries.
• Keep systematic records of site instructions, variation orders, and commercial communication.
• Contribute to the preparation and finalization of account statements.
• Examine Bills of Quantities and related contract documents.
• Participate actively in site inspections and commercial negotiations.
• Engage with contractors, consultants, and client representatives to ensure smooth project execution.
• Support senior commercial personnel in contract administration activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Civil Engineering.
• Have 7 to 10 years of pertinent professional experience.
• Hold background experience in building construction supervision or consultancy projects.
• Demonstrated familiarity with FIDIC and other standard contract forms.
• Skilled in measurement, valuation, and cost reporting processes.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Excel and commercial management tools.
• Exhibit strong analytical, communicative, and organizational capabilities.
• Previous work experience in the UAE or GCC is highly advantageous.
