Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

Candidzone is looking for a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to join a consultancy project based in Doha, Qatar. The successful applicant will bring extensive experience in quantity surveying along with a relevant degree and a solid background in consultancy environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the management of quantity surveying and cost control tasks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and assess quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and cost projections.
• Authenticate contractor valuations, assess variations, and process payment applications accurately.
• Analyze project drawings, technical specifications, and contractual documents to ensure alignment with project standards.
• Oversee project expenditure, delivering precise commercial reports on financial status.
• Collaborate effectively with consultants, contractors, and project teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Guarantee all quantities and costings conform to project requirements and recognized standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• Have a minimum of 10 years' pertinent experience in the field.
• Demonstrate prior work experience in a consultancy setting.
• Exhibit strong expertise in quantity surveying techniques, measurement, and cost management.
• Showcase excellent analytical abilities, reporting skills, and communication proficiency.
• Be available for the entire duration of the designated project.
