Chief Financial Officer

About the Role

Candidzone is in search of a seasoned and business-savvy Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join an FMCG/Consumer Goods company based in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate must possess a Chartered Accountant qualification alongside substantial senior financial management expertise, ideally within the FMCG sector.

Primary Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute financial strategies that align with corporate goals.
• Take charge of budgeting processes, forecasts, financial planning, and long-range business plans.
• Supervise the preparation of financial reports, management accounts, and statutory statements.
• Administer cash flow, working capital, accounts receivable and payable, and liquidity management.
• Monitor FMCG-specific financial issues such as inventory management, distribution costs, trade promotions, pricing strategies, and profit margin analysis.
• Evaluate product profitability, operating expenses, and overall company performance metrics.
• Implement robust internal controls and comprehensive risk management frameworks.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, taxation laws, and legal requirements.
• Lead annual financial audits and maintain productive relationships with banks, auditors, and tax consultants.
• Oversee treasury functions, financing arrangements, and banking operations.
• Identify and execute cost reduction initiatives to enhance financial efficiency.
• Create financial key performance indicators and dashboards for top management insights.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and development for the finance and accounting departments.
• Support corporate growth strategies including expansion, investments, acquisitions, and other strategic projects.
• Deliver accurate, timely financial analysis and reports to the CEO and senior leadership.

Candidate Requirements

• Mandatory Chartered Accountant (CA) professional certification.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles.
• Proven track record in senior financial leadership positions such as CFO, Finance Director, Financial Controller, or equivalent.
• In-depth knowledge of the FMCG industry encompassing distribution, inventory control, pricing, margin management, and trade promotion mechanics.
• Strong skills in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow oversight, and enforcement of financial controls.
• Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, taxation, audit processes, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency with ERP platforms and advanced financial reporting systems.
• Excellent analytical thinking, strategic planning, negotiation capabilities, and leadership aptitude.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
