Position Summary
Based in Melbourne or Sydney, this role offers a chance to join a well-regarded institutional investment firm that shapes investment strategies via quantitative research, asset allocation, and portfolio analytics.
Role Overview
This position is ideal for a seasoned investment expert with extensive quantitative skills, hands-on experience in multi-asset investing, and a strong enthusiasm for investment strategy, portfolio construction, and asset allocation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in formulating strategic and dynamic asset allocation decisions.
- Design and improve quantitative models, analysis tools, and investment frameworks.
- Utilize quantitative techniques to underpin investment strategy and portfolio choices.
- Interpret and simplify complex datasets to propose actionable investment advice.
- Contribute to portfolio construction and allocate assets across diversified portfolios.
- Communicate investment insights and proposals effectively to clients and stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in investment management, institutional investing, funds management, or comparable sectors.
- Deep understanding of multi-asset investing, portfolio design, and asset allocation principles.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to analyze complicated investment data and present clear recommendations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Familiarity with quantitative modelling, data science, automation, or AI-assisted research methods.
- CFA credential or progression towards attaining it.
- Postgraduate degrees in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields.
