Job Overview
This role involves actively contributing to the formulation and execution of ADNOC Distribution's strategic initiatives, assessing the impact of various projects and market activities, and providing recommendations to enhance overall strategy effectiveness.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support diverse strategic business projects ranging in scope, including those within business units or involving acquisitions and joint ventures.
- Assist in strategy development by conducting both qualitative and quantitative analyses, including financial and commercial evaluations to inform senior leadership decisions.
- Deliver research and analytic inputs for executive-level papers, board reports, presentations, and communications.
- Collaborate with the Market Research team to perform market intelligence gathering focusing on market segmentation, trends, technological developments, key accounts, competitor strategies, and product positioning to underpin strategic planning and roadmaps.
- Perform cost and input analytics alongside market data assessments to develop standardized input variables aligned with regional macroeconomic factors, submitting findings for executive approval.
- Support senior strategy personnel in evaluating strategic alternatives, performing feasibility assessments, due diligence, and return on investment analyses to inform investment decisions.
- Assist in effectively communicating strategic analyses and reports to diverse audiences through written and verbal channels.
- Build and nurture cross-functional relationships within ADNOC Distribution and with external stakeholders including finance and business unit strategy teams.
- Provide occasional strategy-related assistance to various internal teams as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.
- A Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Strategy or Finance is preferred.
- At least three years’ experience in a strategy consulting capacity, preferably with a leading consulting firm or within an in-house strategy team relevant to the industry.
- Prior exposure to the Downstream Oil and Gas sector or similar commodities industry is highly beneficial.
