Quantitative Analyst

Role Overview

A prominent financial services institution in London is seeking a Quantitative Analyst specializing in interest rate derivatives pricing to join their front-office team. This role involves developing pricing, valuation, and risk management tools applied directly by traders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop quantitative financial models from initial concept through to live production deployment.
• Create advanced algorithms and analytic tools primarily using C++ with additional applications in Python and Excel.
• Collaborate closely with Trading and Sales teams to launch new derivative products and resolve complex pricing issues.
• Ensure that the trading desk is equipped with robust analytics required for transaction valuation and portfolio risk management.
• Take ownership of deliverables while working alongside Model Validation, Market Risk, Product Control, and Technology divisions.
• Integrate pricing models within the firm’s broader systems infrastructure, including platforms such as Murex.
• Engage hands-on with quantitative finance and software engineering with direct exposure to active trading environments.
• Witness real-time application of developed models supporting revenue-generating trading decisions.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong proficiency in quantitative modeling of interest rate derivatives.
• Expertise in C++ programming for algorithm development; familiarity with Python and Excel is also required.
• Experience working in a front-office or trading desk environment highly valued.

Additional Information

• Job based in London with onsite requirements.
• Compensation package includes a base salary around £115,000 plus a significant performance bonus.
