Job description
Role Overview
This position involves verifying the quality of automotive components throughout various production stages, ensuring they meet required standards and specifications.
Key Duties
- Carry out inspections on incoming materials, in-process parts, and finished automotive components.
- Examine sheet-metal, tubular, and welded items against technical drawings and defined inspection criteria.
- Utilize precision measuring tools such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, and Height Gauges to perform dimensional checks.
- Detect visual defects, assess welding quality, dimensional conformity, and overall workmanship quality.
- Categorize components as acceptable or non-compliant, ensuring proper labeling and segregation.
- Document inspection outcomes by preparing reports and maintaining quality records diligently.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize rejection rates, reduce rework, and address customer concerns effectively.
- Adhere strictly to Control Plans, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions, and inspection benchmarks.
- Participate actively in 5S, Kaizen initiatives, and ongoing efforts to enhance quality processes.
- Report any significant quality deviations or problems to the Quality Supervisor or Engineer promptly.
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols and quality procedures within the workshop environment.
