Overview
The Quality Controller plays a critical role in inspecting Retail Shops and Service Centers to ensure compliance with operational standards and quality guidelines. The position involves performing scheduled audits, assessing product and repair quality, documenting outcomes, and advising on enhancements to processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct weekly audits of Retail Shops following the designated audit schedule to verify correct procedures in sales, cash management, inventory control, trade-ins, fixed assets, security, and adherence to company merchandising plans and manuals.
- Visit Service Centers weekly to evaluate repair quality and operational effectiveness according to Apple's service manuals, operational protocols, and guidelines.
- Use detailed checklists to perform thorough inspections at both shops and service branches.
- Verify employees' and technicians' certification statuses and compliance with required standards.
- Assess availability and condition of tools used in repair and service functions.
- Inspect 20 to 50 Key Business Benchmarks (KBBs) per audit, identify issues, and report them accordingly.
- Evaluate the complete repair workflow from initiation through completion to ensure quality adherence.
- Educate technicians about identified issues, explaining root causes and necessary corrections.
- Provide guidance to technicians and managers on key operational procedures when needed.
- Report audit findings and recommendations to local management teams.
- Suggest improvements to enhance repair processes and quality control measures.
- Monitor CCTV footage to verify repair activities and follow-up appropriately.
- Maintain thorough records and documentation of inspections.
- Audit financial documents related to operations and prepare detailed reports.
- Present comprehensive findings to upper management via reports or presentations.
- Generate and analyze management-directed reports to support decision-making.
- Assist with vendor audits as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Apple Certification as a Macintosh or iOS Technician.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
- Ability to operate effectively both independently and cooperatively within a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
- Capability to handle confidential and sensitive financial data with discretion and integrity.
