Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Engineer role focuses on maintaining and enhancing product quality at every stage of manufacturing, ensuring that furniture items meet exact standards. This position requires collaboration with multiple departments including production and design to manage quality risks and improve customer satisfaction through rigorous inspection and process control.

Primary Responsibilities

• Establish and oversee quality control methods during production and finishing phases.
• Inspect raw materials, intermediary components, and final furniture goods for adherence to specifications.
• Create and maintain quality benchmarks, detailed inspection lists, and acceptance criteria for products.
• Analyze defects to identify root causes and propose corrective and preventive action plans.
• Partner with production and design teams to address quality challenges and optimize manufacturability.
• Evaluate supplier quality through monitoring and audits.
• Keep thorough quality records, reports, and documentation up to date.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts aimed at minimizing defects, rework, and material waste.
• Ensure adherence to safety and durability standards established in the furniture manufacturing sector.
• Assist in managing customer complaints related to quality and warranty concerns.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related disciplines such as Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
• 1 to 3 years' experience in quality assurance or control, ideally within manufacturing or furniture industries.
• Proficient with quality assurance tools including inspection plans, control charts, and root cause analyses.
• Familiarity with furniture manufacturing materials such as wood, metals, upholstery, and finishes is advantageous.
• Knowledge of ISO quality standards or equivalent management systems.
• Strong analytical thinking, documentation abilities, and problem-solving skills.
