Quality Control Engineer

Role Overview

The Quality Control Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the high standards of electronic assemblies, PCB boards, drone components, and final products. This position entails inspecting, testing, defect identification, maintaining quality compliance, and supporting manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine incoming electronic parts, PCB boards, and materials for compliance with quality specifications.
• Carry out in-process and final quality checks on PCB assemblies, soldering, wiring, and electronic components.
• Conduct functional and electrical tests on PCB boards and assembled electronics.
• Detect, document, and communicate defects or quality deviations during production cycles.
• Collaborate with production teams to diagnose root causes of defects and aid in corrective measures.
• Maintain detailed records related to quality inspections, testing outcomes, rejections, and reworks.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Proficiency in quality inspection protocols and testing techniques.
• Basic troubleshooting of electronic circuits and PCB assemblies.
• Capability to recognize defects in soldering, component placement, wiring, and overall PCB assembly.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking abilities.
• Experience using multimeters, testers, and electronic testing instruments.
• Competent communication, documentation, and teamwork abilities.
• Foundational understanding of electronics, component functions (resistors, capacitors, ICs, connectors, transistors, diodes), and PCB assembly processes.
• Familiarity with PCB layouts, circuit diagrams, BOMs, and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of soldering criteria, component placement and polarity accuracy, and electronic inspection standards.
• Aware of ESD safety precautions and quality control methodologies.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.

Qualifications

• ITI or Diploma in Electronics/Electrical or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree (BE/B.Tech) in Electronics, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, or closely related discipline.
• Applicants must have a solid foundational knowledge of electronic components, PCB assembly, inspection, and testing.
• Good command over verbal and written communication.

Experience

• At least 1 year of relevant experience in quality control, inspection, PCB assembly, testing, or electronics manufacturing roles.
• Experience in PCB inspections and electronic product testing is preferred.
• Skills in identifying and troubleshooting assembly defects are advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with multimeters, testing devices, and other electronic inspection tools is desirable.
• Experience within electronics manufacturing or drone electronics is a plus.
• Knowledge of maintaining quality documentation and managing rework or corrective actions is beneficial.

• Monthly salary range: 15000 to 20000 INR.
