Job Description

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will conduct thorough visual and dimensional inspections throughout the manufacturing process and final checks on aircraft components. Your role includes verifying parts meet specifications and technical drawings, preparing inspection reports, and interpreting data from coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and blue light inspection technologies. Adherence to specified inspection tolerances, manufacturer procedures, and participation in audits and safety compliance is essential. You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and customer-oriented excellence programs while embracing new advanced technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final visual and dimensional checks on aircraft parts to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Analyze inspection reports and technical documentation such as CMM and blue light reports.
• Maintain understanding of inspection standards, tolerances, and protocols established by the product manufacturer.
• Participate in routine audits and safety inspections.
• Follow environmental, health, and safety regulations rigorously.
• Support continuous improvement efforts and excellence initiatives.
• Adapt to learning new state-of-the-art technological methods.
• Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of two years experience in quality inspection, preferably within aerospace or precision manufacturing sectors.
• Proficiency in various inspection approaches including the use of instruments like stylus, vernier calipers, shadowgraphs, and GapGun.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, instructions, and standard operating procedures.
• Pass vision and color blindness assessments (Jaeger #1 chart at 12 inches).
• Detail-oriented mindset with practical, hands-on inspection skillset.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts including day and night schedules and potential overtime.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Aerospace industry knowledge and manufacturing/precision engineering background.
• Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), or SAP software is advantageous.
