Quality Assurance (QA) Tester

About the Role

We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Quality Assurance (QA) Tester focused on assuring the functional, usability, and performance quality of software applications prior to release. The successful candidate will possess strong problem-solving capabilities, keen attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to effectively document and relay software defects.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute both manual and automated testing to validate software functionality and quality standards.
• Analyze requirements, specifications, and user stories to design relevant test cases and scenarios.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive test documentation including test cases and scripts.
• Detect, document, track, and reproduce software bugs, providing clear issue descriptions and reproduction steps.
• Conduct various testing types including functional, regression, integration, usability, exploratory, cross-browser, cross-platform, and device testing as needed.
• Verify resolution of defects and ensure fixes meet quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with development, product management, design, and other teams to address and resolve defects.
• Participate actively throughout the software development lifecycle to support testing activities.
• Maintain detailed records of testing outcomes, defects, and progress reports.
• Communicate test results, potential risks, and quality concerns effectively to stakeholders.
• Contribute to user acceptance testing and validation of releases.
• Identify and suggest opportunities to enhance testing procedures, tools, and overall quality benchmarks.
• Support ongoing improvements in QA methodologies and documentation practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Solid understanding of software testing concepts and quality assurance methodologies.
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in designing, executing, and managing test cases and scenarios.
• Proficiency in identifying, reproducing, and documenting software defects with clarity.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management systems such as Jira, TestRail, or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of software development life cycles and QA processes.
• Basic exposure to APIs, databases, SQL, and web technologies is advantageous.
• Experience conducting regression, functional, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Strong verbal and written communication to effectively work with technical and non-technical teams.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently.
• Ability to thrive in a remote work environment with reliable internet and suitable workspace.
• Professional, analytical, dependable, and quality-driven mindset.
• Proficiency in English required for coordination with English-speaking teams and technical documentation review.

Additional Requirements

• Prior experience in quality assurance, software testing, or similar roles is mandatory.
• Proven track record of creating and executing manual test cases and documenting defects.
• Capability to analyze requirements and convert them into effective testing scenarios.
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in dynamic, fast-paced settings while maintaining high-quality standards.
