Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Inspector will conduct comprehensive final inspections of coated products to confirm compliance with quality standards and customer requirements. The role involves interpreting engineering documents and sales orders and maintaining accurate records of inspection results.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute thorough final inspection of finished coated products to ensure adherence to quality criteria and client specifications.
- Analyze and comprehend engineering drawings, documents, and order details to verify product parameters.
- Record inspection outcomes accurately and maintain detailed documentation.
- Manage product segregation, labeling, and packaging in line with established procedures.
- Monitor packaging materials inventory and assist in monthly stocktaking for inventory accuracy.
- Report any quality deviations immediately and contribute feedback for continuous process improvements.
- Coordinate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality-related issues and oversee corrective actions.
- Perform regular audits and inspections to detect quality risks and implement preventive controls.
- Stay informed about industry quality standards and best practices to continually improve quality assurance processes.
- Support in training junior inspectors to promote organization-wide quality awareness.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Minimum education requirement: Secondary 4 or equivalent; preference for bachelor's degree holders in relevant disciplines such as quality management or engineering.
- At least one year experience in manufacturing; minimum two years in a quality control or inspection capacity is preferred.
- Proficient in basic mathematics required for precise measurement tasks.
- Capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and documentation.
- Experience using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Good understanding of quality management frameworks and compliance standards, for example, ISO 9001.
- Strong communication abilities for effective collaboration across departments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office or equivalent software for documentation and reporting.
- Detail-oriented, systematic, and capable of managing workload independently to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to undergo ongoing training and adapt to new quality control technologies and methods.
Working Conditions and Schedule
- This role requires 100% onsite presence in Singapore.
- Standard work schedule runs Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm.
- Work environments are controlled with appropriate lighting conditions.
