Quality Analyst

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Quality Analyst to meticulously test technology solutions, ensuring alignment with both business and technical requirements. This role requires collaboration with technical and functional teams to interpret detailed requirements and convert them into precise test scenarios and cases. The analyst will contribute to all testing phases including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Independent Development Testing (IDT), while actively participating in Defect Triage meetings to facilitate prompt resolution of issues.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Between five and eight years of relevant experience testing mission-critical applications.
• Expertise in end-to-end functional testing processes.
• Proficient in regression testing methods.
• Familiarity with non-functional testing techniques.
• Experience with manual testing procedures and initial defect triage.
• Strong background supporting critical workloads on AWS Cloud environments.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to engage with technical leadership.

Preferred Credentials

• Certification such as CTFL or other relevant tester certifications is desirable.
• Exposure to automation testing tools like SmartBear is an added advantage.
• Experience dealing with complex testing environments and critical application contexts is favored.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive end-to-end functional testing, regression testing, and non-functional assessments.
• Work closely with Technical Leads and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and execute testing strategies.
• Convert business and technical requirements into detailed and clear test scenarios and cases.
• Support multiple testing phases including SIT, UAT, and IDT.
• Manage test data requirements and ensure testing environments are prepared and accessible.
• Perform manual test executions and manage initial triage of defects.
• Attend Defect Triage sessions and collaborate with developers and stakeholders for efficient issue resolution.
• Coordinate extensively with developers, business users, test and project managers to guarantee thorough test coverage.
• Monitor testing progress, document defects and quality metrics, and deliver regular updates on testing status.
• Maintain comprehensive and precise testing documentation.
• Compile test evidence and detailed test reports.
• Ensure prompt handling of defect resolution in line with project schedules.
