Role Overview

Contribute to a significant project based in Taupō, involving the installation and commissioning of electrical infrastructure aimed at powering New Zealand's renewable energy future. Collaborate with project supervisors, fellow electricians, and construction crews to ensure the delivery of high-quality electrical setups carried out safely and efficiently.

Key Duties

• Set up solar photovoltaic electrical systems
• Install and terminate both DC and AC cables
• Mount cable trays, conduits, and switchgear components
• Conduct testing and commissioning of electrical devices
• Interpret and adhere to electrical diagrams and plans
• Ensure all work complies with New Zealand electrical standards
• Locate and repair electrical faults
• Uphold site safety regulations consistently

Required Skills & Experience

• Current EWRB Full License mandatory
• Site Safe certification required
• Experience in commercial or industrial electrical environments
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
• Possession of a full Class 1 driver’s license
