QHSE Consultant

Overview

Dussmann Ajlan & Bros is inviting applications for the role of QHSE Consultant based at its Riyadh headquarters. This role involves supporting the execution and continual monitoring of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems to ensure alignment with regulatory mandates, ISO standards, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the deployment and oversight of QHSE procedures and compliance standards across designated projects and sites.
• Carry out inspections, audits, joint site observations, and compliance reviews, ensuring corrective measures are enacted promptly.
• Support incident reporting processes including initial investigations, evidence gathering, and overseeing corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain tracking systems for non-conformance reports, risk mitigation actions, audit outcomes, legal compliance, and safety observations to guarantee timely resolution.
• Oversee contractor safety protocols, ensuring valid permits, certifications, and proper equipment maintenance on site.
• Aid in emergency response planning, execution of drills, muster point organization, and site readiness assessments.
• Manage QHSE documentation including inspection logs, reports, registers, permits, and proof of compliance.
• Facilitate toolbox talks, onboarding inductions, training initiatives, and awareness campaigns promoting QHSE standards.
• Monitor hazardous material handling and validate third-party inspections and certifications.
• Generate regular performance dashboards, compliance reports, and updates for management review.

Technical Expertise Required

• Proficient understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 standards and facilities management compliance requirements.
• Skilled in conducting risk evaluations, health and safety inspections, permit-to-work processes, contractor compliance audits, emergency preparedness, and the establishment of safe operating procedures.
• Experience with QHSE metrics, key performance indicators, managing NCRs and CAPAs, incident reporting protocols, legal checks, and conducting site audits.
• Knowledge in planned maintenance systems, toolbox talks, hazardous substance controls, and compliance with third-party verification standards.
• Familiarity with QHSE digital management tools including incident reporting platforms, permit-to-work software, auditing applications, compliance monitoring systems, and reporting dashboards.

Professional Background

• A minimum of 5 years in QHSE roles, ideally within facilities management or construction sectors.
• At least 3 years’ experience in QHSE consulting, auditing, or management focusing on contractor oversight.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Risk Management, QHSE Management, or related disciplines.

Certifications Required

• ISO Internal Auditor certification covering ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent.
• Safety certification such as IOSH or OSHA or their equivalents.
• English proficiency equivalent to at least IELTS band 6.
