The role is key to upholding construction quality, minimizing rework, and assisting the QA/QC team with documentation and compliance tasks.

  • Ensure all alignments, levels, and dimensional tolerances align with approved drawings.
  • Assess architectural finishing activities such as tiling, marble and granite fitting, gypsum board installation, woodwork, doors, painting, metal installations, and decorative features.
  • Perform mock-up inspections preceding full-scale execution.
  • Evaluate finishing quality including level, plumbness, alignment, and aesthetic criteria.
  • Coordinate with external labs for testing concrete, soil, and other materials.
  • Review test outcomes referencing ASTM and British Standards compliance.
  • Immediately report any failed tests or non-compliance issues.
  • Generate and submit inspection requests (IRs) and requests for information (RFIs) according to the ITP.
  • Maintain comprehensive logs of inspection requests, MIRs, non-conformance reports (NCRs), test reports, and site quality records.
  • Ensure proper filing and traceability of all QA/QC documentation.
  • Detect any non-conforming work or materials; escalate to management promptly.
  • Work with site supervisors to implement corrective measures and verify NCR closures.
  • Communicate closely with consultants, client representatives, site engineers, foremen, and subcontractors.
  • Participate in QA/QC and site coordination meetings.
  • Support final inspections, punch list resolution, and project handover preparations.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 7 years of QA/QC experience focusing on civil and finishing construction works.
  • In-depth knowledge of civil and architectural construction standards.
  • Practical experience interacting with UAE consultants and adhering to QA/QC processes.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to prepare clear inspection reports.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage inspection tasks.
  • Familiarity with QA/QC documentation, inspection test plans, and material testing procedures.
