Role Summary
We are seeking a dedicated QA Specialist to join our expanding team and contribute to the delivery of top-quality mobile games. Your primary responsibility will involve hands-on testing of game builds, features, prototypes, and releases to ensure stability, polish, and readiness for players. You will identify, document, and validate bugs while assessing the overall player experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough testing across mobile game builds including features, prototypes, and final releases.
- Execute various testing types such as functional, regression, exploratory, compatibility, usability, and performance.
- Develop and update test cases, checklists, and regression coverage documentation.
- Identify, reproduce, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
- Validate bug fixes and assist with both release and post-release testing phases.
- Test compatibility across multiple mobile devices and operating systems.
- Evaluate core gameplay flows including progression, economy, advertisements, in-app purchases, onboarding, and live game elements.
- Detect issues affecting gameplay, usability, visuals, and performance that could impact the player.
- Investigate unusual player behaviors and edge cases to highlight potential problems.
- Provide constructive feedback to improve overall game quality.
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, artists, product managers, and production teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Communicate testing progress, quality risks, blockers, and bugs clearly to relevant stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively to reproduce, analyze, and confirm issues.
- Contribute to enhancing QA methodologies, tools, test coverage, and workflows.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years experience in QA/testing, preferably within mobile games.
- Strong manual testing skills, including regression testing, bug reporting, and creation of test cases.
- Solid understanding of mobile games and the player user experience.
- Experience testing on both iOS and Android platforms.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Miro, and Unity.
- Keen attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle issues and edge cases.
- Analytical and methodical mindset comfortable with deep problem investigation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Independent and responsible ownership of testing areas.
- Experience with Hybrid Casual, Casual, or Free-to-play mobile games is advantageous.
- Exposure to test automation or scripting will be considered a plus.
- Experience testing analytics/events, advertisements, IAP, or live game features is a benefit.
- Knowledge of App Store and Google Play release procedures is favorable.
- Fluency in English is required.
