Job Location and Work Schedule

This position is based in Bangalore, Bellandur and requires the candidate to work from the office five days a week.

Role Overview and Key Responsibilities

The QA Engineer will play a vital role in ensuring the stability and quality of payment applications. This role demands expertise in the payments domain along with proficiency in test automation. Collaboration with software engineers and business analysts will be essential to capture requirements, verify end-to-end functionality, and develop automated test suites.

• Collaborate with developers and analysts to interpret payment-related requirements and devise comprehensive test strategies and cases.
• Design, develop, and sustain automation frameworks and scripts that support quality objectives.
• Create and improve automated regression test suites focusing on maintainability, reusability, and scalability.
• Run automated tests, analyze results, detect defects, and confirm fixes to uphold payment solution quality.
• Assist engineering teams in troubleshooting and resolving issues affecting payment processing workflows and API integrations.
• Champion continuous refinement of testing methodologies to broaden coverage and boost testing efficiency for payment systems.
• Participate in code reviews to evaluate testability, automation readiness, and overall quality concentrating on payments.
• Maintain thorough test documentation including plans, test cases, and execution evidence for deliverables.
• Keep updated on emerging testing best practices, new automation techniques, and industry trends in payments technology and API testing.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• Proven experience as an SDET or equivalent QA automation role, ideally within payments technology.
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, and API testing tools like Postman and SoapUI.
• Strong background in building and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes and pipeline-based testing.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communication abilities and experience working collaboratively across functions.
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum development methodologies is beneficial.
