Python Game Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Python Game Developer to create engaging games, simulations, and related tooling using Python. The position involves delivering clean, maintainable code that supports game designers and engineers effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and sustain game features, tools, and backend systems utilizing Python.
• Develop game logic, simulation components, and AI behaviors.
• Create internal tools and pipelines to aid designers and content creators.
• Integrate Python functionalities with game engines, servers, or web interfaces.
• Identify and fix bugs throughout the game stack.
• Perform code reviews and participate in enhancing engineering practices.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of three years developing production-grade Python applications, preferably in games or simulations.
• Proficiency in Python, including asynchronous programming, performance tuning, and packaging.
• Experience with Python-based game frameworks like Pygame, Panda3D, Ren'Py or using Python within larger engines such as Maya, Blender, or Unreal Engine.
• Knowledge of game backend systems, multiplayer architectures, or simulation engines is advantageous.
• Comfortable with version control systems, testing methodologies, and continuous integration workflows.
• Strong foundation in software engineering principles.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a competitive salary aligned with your experience, qualifications, and location, generally ranging from $85,000 to $140,000 USD (or equivalent), accompanied by benefits including:
