Role Overview

We are seeking a Python Game Developer responsible for designing and constructing games, simulations, or game development tools using Python. The role emphasizes creating clean, maintainable codebases that are beneficial and enjoyable for designers and engineers alike.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain game features, tooling, and backend infrastructure using Python
• Implement game logic, simulation mechanics, or AI behaviors
• Create internal pipelines and utilities to support designers and content teams
• Integrate Python-based systems with game engines, servers, or web technologies
• Identify and fix bugs across the entire game technology stack
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to software engineering best practices

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Over three years of experience developing production-level Python applications, ideally within gaming or simulation industries
• Strong proficiency in Python including asynchronous programming, performance tuning, and packaging
• Experience with game development frameworks such as Pygame, Panda3D, Ren'Py, or integration of Python in tools like Maya, Blender, or Unreal Engine
• Knowledge of multiplayer backend systems or simulation engines is advantageous
• Familiarity with version control systems, automated testing, and continuous integration workflows
• Strong foundation in software engineering principles
