Role Overview

The Python Engineer will be an integral member of a machine learning team focused on creating Artificial Intelligence solutions, including Machine Learning and Generative AI technologies. This hybrid position requires working three days on-site in Singapore. The role involves developing efficient Python code in alignment with client and subject matter expert requirements, prompt engineering, and maintaining a Python library supporting these AI models.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a Python library supporting AI initiatives.
• Provide ongoing support for the Python library and associated solutions.
• Participate actively in prompt engineering and update prompts aligned with evolving Large Language Model (LLM) versions.
• Conduct systematic testing, benchmarking, and performance analysis of prompts and applications.
• Promote and uphold best practices in information security, including secure data handling and compliance with privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
• Identify and manage security risks with focus on protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience developing Python applications.
• Strong proficiency in Python development and architectural design of enterprise-grade applications.
• In-depth knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, system resiliency, observability, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Excellent analytical capabilities paired with strong problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with clients and internal teams.

Preferred but Not Required

• Experience with OpenAI and other LLM models, including conducting testing and performance evaluations.
• Java development experience.
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques and vector databases.
• Experience developing cloud-based applications, particularly using Microsoft Azure Cloud.
• Background in FinTech application development.
• Exposure to global delivery team environments.

Information Security Responsibilities

• Advocate and enforce awareness of key information security protocols such as acceptable use, malware defense, and password policies.
• Assess and report on security risks impacting data and system integrity.
• Ensure data protection is integrated throughout the data lifecycle adhering to privacy regulations.
