Python Developer (AI Agents / Data Science)

Position Overview

We seek a seasoned Python Developer with over four years of experience, specializing in backend development and data science integration. This role is based in Mumbai and focuses on crafting intelligent agents and automation systems to optimize workflows and data processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend services leveraging Python programming language.
• Create and integrate RESTful APIs, preferably using FastAPI, to support agent-driven applications.
• Develop intelligent automation agents for tasks such as data management and orchestrating business workflows.
• Utilize data science libraries to perform data analysis, data manipulation, and to facilitate model integration.
• Collaborate closely with AI and machine learning teams for seamless production model integration.
• Build and manage data pipelines handling both structured and unstructured datasets.
• Produce clean, maintainable, and testable code adhering to software craftsmanship standards.
• Deploy applications containerized via Docker and orchestrated through Kubernetes platforms.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 4 years hands-on experience with Python development.
• Proficient in REST API development, with FastAPI being preferred.
• Strong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming, data structures, and system architectural design.
• Experienced with data science packages such as Pandas and NumPy.
• Basic knowledge of machine learning principles and their applications.
• Prior involvement in AI agent development or automation frameworks.
• Familiar with API integrations and microservices-based architectures.
• Competency with containerization and orchestration tools including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Skilled in unit testing using frameworks like Pytest.

Desirable Extras

• Experience with large language model frameworks, e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex.
• Exposure to natural language processing and deployment of ML models.
• Knowledge of vector databases and embedding techniques.
• Understanding of major cloud service providers such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Experience implementing asynchronous programming paradigms in Python.
