Job description
Overview
This role requires fluency in English and a minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Candidates should have between 3 and 5 years of relevant experience. Work must be performed on-site in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, as remote work is not available.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure both general and specialized equipment, materials, and business services.
- Evaluate establishment needs to create detailed purchase specifications.
- Develop and finalize specifications for required goods and supplies.
- Engage in supplier negotiations and consultation.
- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of 1 to 2 staff members.
- Analyze supplier quotations and decide on contract terms and conditions.
- Award contracts and set delivery timelines, monitoring progress actively.
- Communicate with clients and suppliers to address and resolve issues.
- Oversee operational logistics planning and management.
- Offer excellent customer service and conduct internal audits.
Experience and Technical Proficiencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Windows OS.
- Familiarity with Oracle and various accounting software.
- Skilled in data analysis and interpretation.
- Negotiation expertise in business sales and services contexts.
