Job Role Overview

• Approach tasks with meticulousness and a methodical mindset.
• Utilize strong numerical skills for purchasing operations and inventory management.
• Execute routine purchasing activities effectively, maintaining proper supply levels at all times.
• Coordinate logistics relating to the transportation of purchased materials from suppliers to hotel premises, resolving any supply or vendor challenges promptly.
• Manage the disposal of excess or surplus materials responsibly.
• Source vendors for necessary materials, equipment, or supplies by evaluating product availability and negotiating sales terms.
• Process purchase orders for routine supply replenishment, ensuring paperwork is accurate and terms clearly detailed.
• Verify inventory levels to confirm adequacy for upcoming needs and place orders accordingly.
• Maintain organized purchase department filing and update records consistently.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs by comparing supplier pricing to determine the most favorable offers.
• Inspect received goods to ensure compliance with agreements and resolve issues related to delivery delays, damaged items, or incorrect quantities.
• Uphold the "Yes I Can!" service philosophy in all duties performed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Valid Qatar driving license with a pristine driving record.
• Prior experience in roles such as Purchasing Driver, Procurement Driver, Delivery Driver, ideally within a luxury 5-star hotel environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Doha's road network, supplier locations, marketplaces, and industrial zones.
• Effective communication skills for professional interaction with suppliers and internal teams.
• Proficiency in numeric verification relating to quantities, invoices, delivery notes, and purchase documentation.
• Capability to reliably and safely transport purchased goods to designated locations punctually.
• Support the Purchasing Department with supplier pickups, urgent procurements, and routine buying tasks.
• Perform thorough checks on delivered items against purchase orders and report any discrepancies immediately.
• Ensure safe handling, transportation, and storage of materials to prevent damage.
• Keep comprehensive documentation for all collection and delivery activities.
• Maintain the vehicle's cleanliness, safety, and functionality for daily use.
• Adhere strictly to hotel, traffic, health, safety, and company rules and regulations.
• Maintain a professional appearance and courteous demeanor when engaging with suppliers and colleagues.
• Show reliability, punctuality, adaptability, and the capacity to manage work pressure effectively.
• Consistently demonstrate the hotel’s signature “Yes I Can!” attitude supporting the 5-star service standards.
