Purchasing Administrator

Overview

Join Qatar Aircraft Catering Company as a Purchasing Administrator supporting the line manager in managing procurement activities for inflight services. This role is vital to ensure efficient, cost-effective purchasing of high-quality raw materials and supplies to meet catering standards and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing purchase orders with timely placement and coordination to ensure prompt delivery.
• Communicate with suppliers to verify order specifications, delivery timelines, and product quality.
• Maintain accuracy of purchase data entered into ordering systems for completeness and prompt supplier notification.
• Keep detailed records of purchase transactions, pricing, and relevant documentation for internal records and audits.
• Track foreign shipping orders, provide estimated arrival updates to purchasing and stores teams to support operational scheduling.
• Update supplier information in the JDE system for vendor registration.
• Monitor inventory levels regularly to ensure stock is maintained optimally, including periodic store visits to review stock alignment with business needs.
• Generate forecasting reports based on revenue trends and stock turnover to guide reordering strategies.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must possess a university degree along with at least three years of relevant experience. Experience within medium or large flight catering operations is preferred.

Essential Skills and Competencies

• Solid understanding of purchasing and procurement processes.
• Proficient verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills with an ability to influence stakeholders.
• Competency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
