Role Overview

The Purchase Specialist role is a full-time, on-site position at the Silvassa facility. This role encompasses complete responsibility for purchasing operations including supplier scouting, quote solicitation, price and term negotiations, and issuing purchase orders compliant with company policies. The role demands continuous order tracking, follow ups on delivery, maintaining detailed purchase documentation, and coordinating with the production, warehouse, and finance departments to ensure raw materials and consumables are timely and adequately procured.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end purchasing processes ensuring supplier selection, quotation management, negotiation, and purchase order issuance.
• Monitor and track order status to guarantee on-time delivery and address any procurement issues.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date purchasing records aligned with company protocols.
• Collaborate closely with production, warehouse, and finance teams to maintain material availability and facilitate smooth operations.
• Analyze procurement data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process efficiencies.
• Assist in vendor evaluation and performance assessment to strengthen supplier relationships.
• Maintain compliance with quality, safety, and company purchasing standards.

Desired Qualifications and Skills

• Familiarity with purchasing processes, including sourcing, vendor interaction, and procurement workflows.
• Expertise in purchase management and order processing including creation, approvals, and documentation.
• Strong analytical capabilities to assess quotations, supplier performance, and optimize procurement decisions.
• Experience in industrial or manufacturing procurement, preferentially within textiles or fibers sectors.
• Proficiency in ERP or purchasing software systems, MS Excel, and basic reporting skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to operate independently within an on-site setting in Silvassa.
• Educational background such as a diploma or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, or related disciplines is preferred.
