Purchase Executive

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Purchase Executive to join our team in Bavla, specializing in the Refrigeration and HVAC manufacturing sector. This role demands a professional with a minimum of three years' hands-on experience in purchase and procurement activities, preferably within manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full cycle of purchasing processes including raw materials, components, and spare parts procurement.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop trustworthy vendors and suppliers to secure quality materials.
• Solicit, compare, and negotiate quotations to ensure competitive pricing, favorable payment terms, and timely deliveries.
• Generate and handle purchase orders with precision and thorough documentation.
• Coordinate continuously with vendors to monitor material availability and prompt delivery timelines.
• Ensure timely follow-up on outstanding orders to prevent procurement delays.
• Maintain comprehensive purchase records, vendor profiles, quotation documents, and related paperwork.
• Collaborate with internal departments such as Stores, Production, and Accounts to facilitate smooth operations.
• Track inventory requirements to guarantee material availability aligned with production needs.
• Assess vendor performance on criteria including quality, cost efficiency, and delivery punctuality.
• Prepare and manage purchase-related MIS reports and documentation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Graduate or Diploma holder or equivalent relevant qualification.
• At least three years of professional experience in purchase or procurement functions, ideally with manufacturing sector exposure.
• Familiarity with ERP, SAP, or similar purchase management software is advantageous.

Essential Skills

• Expertise in vendor management, purchase order preparation, and procurement processes.
• Strong negotiation skills focused on pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Proficiency in quotation assessment and cost control mechanisms.
• Capability to coordinate inventory and liaise with suppliers effectively.
• Experience with MS Excel and purchase-related data reporting.
• Knowledge of the HVAC, refrigeration, or home appliances manufacturing industry is preferred.
