Overview
Gensler Middle East is looking for a mid-level Public Relations Specialist to manage media engagement, thought leadership initiatives, and executive communication efforts across their dynamic offices in the region.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and implement PR strategies and campaigns for Gensler’s Middle East offices (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh) in close collaboration with regional directors and leadership teams
- Proactively secure media placements and oversee incoming press inquiries by fostering strong relationships with local and national media outlets specializing in design, real estate, business, and innovation sectors
- Create and distribute thought leadership content such as speeches, branded publications, website updates, and award entries tailored for regional channels
- Craft executive communications and positioning material for firm leaders and practice heads
- Act as a strategic communications partner to clients ensuring alignment between client objectives and Gensler’s messaging
- Provide guidance on PR risks and monitor relevant news cycles, including outside regular hours when necessary
- Serve as the Middle East representative within Gensler's global public relations network, collaborating on messaging and digital/social media strategies
- Track and analyze PR engagement data to refine future campaigns
Qualifications and Experience
- 2 to 5 years of experience in public relations, ideally with a background connected to architecture, design, or commercial real estate; agency or journalism experience is advantageous
- Established media contacts within design, business, and innovation sectors in the Middle East and internationally
- Outstanding communication, writing, and editing capabilities
- Proven track record managing PR projects both independently and alongside senior leadership
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines and perform under pressure in a fast-paced work environment
