The Public Relations Officer (PRO) is tasked with handling all interactions with UAE government authorities and regulatory bodies related to non-financial services. This involves ensuring full adherence to laws and administrative needs regarding employment, immigration, licensing, and other statutory requirements, thus supporting continuous business operations.
Core Responsibilities
- Handling employment visa, work permit, residency, and immigration applications for employees and dependents as applicable.
- Engaging with UAE governmental and relevant regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory standards.
- Acting as the licensed PRO representing the LLC in official dealings, including government inspections.
- Keeping track of labor and immigration obligations, ensuring timely renewals and approvals.
- Managing Emirates ID application processes, including renewals, cancellations, and status changes.
- Preparing and submitting quota requests and obtaining necessary workforce permissions from government bodies.
- Coordinating document legalization, attestation, notarization, and certification with appropriate entities and service providers.
- Overseeing office lease agreements and managing vehicle registrations and such related administrative government tasks.
- Maintaining detailed and accurate records of visas, permits, approvals, and regulatory submissions.
- Monitoring updates or changes in non-financial services regulations and advising stakeholders accordingly.
- Developing and sustaining strong relationships with regulatory authorities such as ICP, MOHRE, local municipalities, and chambers of commerce.
- Collaborating with internal corporate secretariat and other teams to fulfill company licensing requirements.
- Supervising daily office management ensuring a secure, efficient, and professional environment.
- Coordinating outsourced workplace services including cleaning, security, maintenance, parking, and courier services.
- Managing office supplies and facilities operations, access control, workspace organization, and general administrative support.
- Ensuring business continuity by facilitating smooth office services and compliance with government-related needs.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, Public Administration, or related disciplines is preferred.
- At least five years of experience in a UAE-based PRO, Government Relations Officer, or a comparable position with a demonstrable record of success.
- In-depth understanding of UAE labor laws, immigration policies, and governmental administrative procedures.
- Proven experience liaising with ICP, MOHRE, municipalities, chambers of commerce, and other government offices.
- Skilled in managing employment visas, Emirates ID issuance, quota submissions, document attestations, and regulatory compliance tasks.
- Experience in office administration, vendor management, and facilities coordination within corporate settings.
- Excellent organizational abilities for handling multiple deadlines and regulatory requirements effectively.
- Strong stakeholder engagement capabilities and relationship management with government officials and external providers.
- Meticulous attention to confidentiality, compliance, and detail-oriented work ethic.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and adept at maintaining comprehensive compliance and administrative documentation.
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic.
- Capable of operating independently in a small office setting while maintaining collaboration with broader corporate functions.
Minimum education
Bachelor's Degree
