Role Overview

This Psychiatrist position is based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates, offering an opportunity to work from home within the UAE. The appointed psychiatrist will conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, diagnose a spectrum of mental health disorders, and create personalized treatment strategies for patients spanning various age groups. Daily duties include follow-up patient consultations, prescribing and overseeing psychotropic medications, administering evidence-supported psychotherapy, and liaising with other healthcare professionals to maintain integrated care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnose mental illnesses.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to patient needs.
• Manage follow-up appointments to monitor progress and adjust treatments.
• Prescribe, monitor, and manage psychotropic medications responsibly.
• Deliver evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions.
• Work collaboratively with primary care and urgent care teams for coordinated mental health services.
• Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation following professional standards.
• Adhere strictly to ethical and clinical guidelines throughout care delivery.
• Contribute to ongoing service improvement efforts and participate in case review discussions.
• Support patient education initiatives and promote community mental health awareness.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Valid eligibility or license (DOH) to practice Psychiatry in the UAE, with board certification or its equivalent strongly preferred.
• Solid academic and practical foundation in Medicine and Psychiatry, with competence in integrating psychiatric care into broader medical contexts.
• Proven expertise in assessing, diagnosing, and managing diverse psychiatric and mental health conditions.
• Experience or formal training in Adolescent Psychiatry and youth mental health care, including age-appropriate evaluations and interventions.
• Proficiency in evidence-based psychopharmacology and psychotherapeutic methods, along with familiarity working within multidisciplinary healthcare models.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration in multicultural teams and the establishment of therapeutic patient relationships.
• Strong capabilities in clinical documentation, risk assessment, and crisis intervention, emphasizing patient safety and confidentiality.
• Fluent proficiency in both English and Arabic languages (mandatory).
