Psychiatrist

Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Psychiatrist to join a prestigious hospital client based in Doha, Qatar. This is a full-time, onsite position focused on delivering high-quality psychiatric care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments, diagnoses, and treatment of patients experiencing diverse psychiatric and mental health disorders.
• Design and continuously evaluate personalized treatment plans for individuals under care.
• Prescribe appropriate psychiatric medications and supervise their use.
• Manage psychiatric emergencies effectively and evaluate patient safety risks.
• Ensure thorough and up-to-date clinical documentation and patient records maintenance.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, therapists, nurses, and other healthcare staff.
• Provide counseling, patient education, and ensure proper follow-up to monitor progress.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Medical degree such as MBBS or MD, or an equivalent qualification.
• Postgraduate certification in Psychiatry recognized by relevant authorities.
• Possession of DHP (QCHP) Qatar license or eligibility to obtain required Qatar healthcare professional license.
• At least 3 years of experience post-specialization, preferably in psychiatric practice.

Skills and Abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in English; knowledge of Arabic is beneficial.
• Experience working within Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) or Qatar healthcare systems is an advantage.
