Role Overview
The Property Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the efficient administration and upkeep of property assets. This position involves overseeing day-to-day property functions, ensuring maintenance tasks are completed, keeping comprehensive records, and managing facilities to align with organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repair work for properties.
- Communicate effectively with tenants, occupants, contractors, and service vendors.
- Follow up on maintenance requests and operational concerns to ensure timely resolution.
- Assist in conducting property inspections and monitor the status of buildings.
- Manage access permissions and service schedules for properties.
- Maintain thorough documentation including records, schedules, contracts, and reports related to property management.
- Support administrative processes such as budgeting, procurement, quotations, service agreements, and compliance monitoring.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Property Management, Real Estate, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of property operations, facilities coordination, and maintenance workflows.
- Familiarity with building systems, maintenance demands, and facility management fundamentals.
- Competency in handling maintenance requests, inspections, and contractor coordination.
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail for record-keeping.
- Ability to maintain precise and updated property documentation, including contracts and schedules.
- Knowledge of workplace safety, building compliance, and pertinent property laws and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging stakeholders professionally.
- Effective negotiation, coordination, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools or similar property management software.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to operational challenges.
- A high degree of responsibility, professionalism, and commitment to service quality.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of both independent and team-oriented work.
