Role Overview and Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive projects and change initiatives by translating business priorities into clear, actionable plans, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with various teams such as Product, Pricing, Technology, Claims, Risk, Compliance, and Change to identify challenges and deliver practical solutions.
  • Manage visibility and governance by overseeing risks, dependencies, reporting, and portfolio insights to enable informed decision-making and foster sustainable improvements.

Success Metrics for First 6-12 Months

  • Effectively deliver key Property & Personal Underwriting (PPUW) projects and improvement initiatives, meeting milestones, managing risks, and realizing benefits.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across multiple departments, becoming a trusted partner in project delivery.
  • Implement clear portfolio tracking and reporting mechanisms, providing leadership with insight into priorities, progress, resource capacity, dependencies, and risks.
  • Establish robust governance and delivery procedures to ensure decisions, risks, and project outcomes are managed and documented thoroughly.
  • Support sustainable operational enhancements that improve underwriting quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Candidate Requirements

  • A minimum of five years' experience in project management, project delivery, business improvement, change delivery, or related fields.
  • Strong project management capabilities enabling effective planning, prioritization, and delivery of multiple initiatives from initiation to closure.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate trusted stakeholder relationships, influence decision-making, and coordinate cross-functional team efforts.
  • Experience managing governance structures, risks, issues, dependencies, reporting, and structured decision-making.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills to address operational challenges and translate business requirements into executable plans.
  • Understanding of insurance, underwriting processes, regulatory frameworks, and change management, complemented by a mindset geared toward continuous improvement and risk awareness.
