They are seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor for their esteemed team based in Dublin. Role Responsibilities

• Develop cash flow forecasts aligned with the Contract Programme and JJ Rhatigan’s Target Programme.
• Re-measure trade packages as needed to detect quantity discrepancies and ensure accurate tender processing.
• Prepare comprehensive tender enquiry packages by coordinating with Contracts and Project Managers to include all relevant items.
• Select suitable subcontractors from company databases or external sources to tender various work portions according to programme and procurement schedules.
• Maintain and utilize a Procurement tracker to monitor the status of tendered packages, ensuring alignment with the Target Programme.
• Conduct thorough tender analyses to confirm compliant, fully priced submissions; evaluate and compare tenders for omissions or qualifications;
• Assess alternative materials with subcontractors, obtaining alternative estimates where necessary alongside managerial staff.
• Perform value engineering appraisals coordinating with the Design Team and Employer as appropriate.
• Shortlist subcontractors and organize review meetings to verify tender understanding and completeness.
• Carry out subcontractor reference checks evaluating metrics such as Health & Safety compliance, program adherence, quality, financial health, and other critical factors, reporting findings for managerial evaluation.
• Verify subcontractor insurance, site safety statements, waste licenses, tax clearance, pension compliance, and other legal requirements before contract award.
• Setup subcontractor payments and order details within company systems.
• Arrange pre-contract meetings with successful subcontractors, ensuring issuance and signing of contract documents.
• Complete subcontract orders as per company requirements before site commencement; manage change orders and variations, assessing impacts on contract sums; administer collateral warranties as needed.
• Communicate all change orders and variations to the Design Team, maintaining updated schedules.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience working with a main contractor on €10 million+ projects in Ireland or the UK.
• A third-level degree related to construction or surveying disciplines.
• Strong background and proven experience in the construction sector.
